Having practiced law as an attorney and as a senior legal adviser both within the private sector and public quasi government enterprise, Aziz brings a wealth of 25 years post articles experience to the firm in various fields of law.
Offering a background of seasoned legal expertise, skills, competencies, and experience, in private legal practice and legal dynamics within corporate environments, Aziz’s legal expertise and experience enables the firm to advise and assist clients (both corporate and private individuals) not only with various fields of law as separate silos but to apply strategic practical legal thinking across facets of law. Involved as an attorney in high value commercial litigation /arbitration
Working with and advising clients in regards to business rescue and insolvency aspects
Corporate legal risk management
Appointed as an acting Labour Court judge (January 2021)
Selected (by Law Society / NADEL) and completed Judicial Skills training 14 November 2019- -training to be a High Court Judge
Advising a number of corporate clients particularly within the ICT sector- being a senior legal advisor/ specialist both at Vodacom and Telkom
Former National Chairperson (Employment Law), Vodacom
Senior Legal Advisor Telkom – practiced and experienced in a plethora of commercial law, drafting complex commercial agreements including procurement documents(for organ of state)- RFP, RFI RFQ etc, – negotiated and drafted various commercial agreements with DFA, SANRAL and various players in the ICT industry
